The grouping makes its way to the XML:

But not to the statement:

The category does.

It uses just the data.xml files to create the XAPI? It couldn't be that I missed an SQL statement somewhere?

p.s. I'm guessing you are using table prefixes on your server? In that case it makes sense that you didn't have the original problem either.

Screenshot in previous reply might not be informative enough.
Here is the full xapi for "Pierre Gorissen initialized Introductievideo Xerte"

I *do* get the grouping info in the statements related to the "Hoe heet de tool waar dit leerobject mee gemaakt is?" question...

The youtube page is not really tracked as an interactivity, so it only trackes the generic entry and leaving of the page. grouping is not added for those records. If you want/need to track video, place it in a mediaLesson. The mediaLesson is tarcked (including pausing and resuming the video).

Only the data.xml is used to get the grouping. You also have a grouping added to the mcq ('Zelftest'). You should be able to check that one.

And no, I don't use a prefix, and I generally don't, but grouping is introduced as a reserved keyword in mysql 8.01. I don't have any installation running mysql 8. I have some older installs on mysql 5.x and newer installs use mariadb 10.

Yes. Like stated earlier, the youtube page is not really tracked. Please use the mediaLesson (without any extra panels it looks like the youtube page.

Ah, that explains it. I do get grouping info on MCQ level

It just means that it is not suitable for my intended use. I would have wanted to use it as a way to add info about the category/types of pages (both interactive and non interactive) . Like eg. so:

Then you could query the LRS for information like "how many video interactions for module X have there been?" or "select all the evaluation scores for this module".
I could of course (mis)use the Tracking Label for that.

I looked at the code today, but adding grouping to other content types takes more knowledge of the code (structure) then I could manage to learn in a single day (and is harder to debug).
I would expect though that the "grouping" selection list only is displayed on content types where it is actually used for the xAPI (preferably all content types)

(ps. sorry for the large screenshots will resize them next time.
