Social learning in Xerte

What's the most effective way of building a social learning element into Xerte Los?

Is there any way to embed a simple, clean-looking discussion board into Xerte pages, so that learners can leave comments and questions and other learners or instructors can respond?

I am guessing that users have found different solutions to this problem? What works well for you?
