Xerte filter in Moodle

Dear all

Xerte is installed in a Moodle installation, including the "Xerte Online Toolkits Link Filter". I can not find a short description anywhere how this filter works. For example: what kind of new activity should I start in Moodle, will it send grades to the grade book without exporting it to Scorm, etc. So: can anybody help me?

The way the Moodle Xerte Online Toolkits filter works is that once it's installed and configured for your Xerte Online Toolkits installation you only have to paste the link to an LO and it will appear embedded. This saves users having to switch to source view to add embed code but at the same time that can be less flexible because the LO is embedded according to the filter code rather than dimensions you can specify differently for each LO when using embed code. The filter doesn't do any more than display the linked LO so no it doesn't provide an alternative to SCORM if you require tracking. That might come later when we have xAPI implemented.
