Install trouble on web server

Hi folks,
I decided to move off the stand alone using xampp and set up XOT on a web server. I chose Yahoo web server which meets the requirements as I could find and uses a shared server(not dedicated)setup. I successfully loaded and went through the full install process without errors, the database was setup although I can't access the program. I get the following error when I try to access through the web site URL

Xerte Online Toolkits
Sorry, the system cannot connect to the database at present
This may be because the database server is offline, or this instance of Xerte has not been setup (see /setup).
The mysql error is Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (46)
Yahoo can not/will not support third party issues.
Any suggestions?

Hi Mark,

Check the database.php file in the root. Make sure each of the 5 settings is correct, especially the host, username and password as the program can't seem to get connected to the database.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did finally get it to work. I should have made sure I had full permissions on all dbs' before I attempted the setup. Even though I set it up with all the correct info for all 5 settings the permissin issue seemed to throw that mysql error message.
