Hi,
I'm having trouble with the LO edit window. Opening and using the LO edit window shows the Insert and Delete buttons greyed out. I can create new LOs but can't edit them, only delete them.

Another problem, a greyed out Recycle folder has appeared listed in the Workspace folder. If I delete a project, the deleted project appears in the Recycle bin and the recycle folder in the workspace folder darkens. Double clicking the Recycle Bin shows the deleted project. I must delete the project in the Recycle Bin only then I can delete the recycle folder.

Any ideas how I can correct this problem?
Thanks
Mark

I solved my own problem using management.php. I found the root file path settings incorrect. Reset and all worked well.
Thanks anyway

Thanks for posting the solution. I was pulling my hair out to try and think of a logical explanation... :-)

Does this solve the issue with the recycle bin as well? I not sure if I understood that issue correctly. Did uou end up with two recycle bins? 1 inside the workspace folder and one next to it?

Hi Tom,
I got ahead of my self last time. I must have looked at it six or ten times before I noticed it. Besides...Chicks dig bald guys ...so I hear.. ;)
Yeah the recycle trouble is a tough one for me. I'll try to explain...
Starting with no LOs:
1) Each time I login, if not already present, a "recyclebin" folder is created within the Workspace folder even if previously deleted, the folder icon is greyed and the text is bold (inactive).
2) This "recyclebin" folder can only be deleted if there are no LOs listed in the Recycle Bin.
3) Creating a new LO works fine and has no immediate effect on the "recyclebin" folder
4) New LOs, when created, are listed in the Workspace folder and the Recycle Bin
5) Deleting an LO gives a message box asking am I sure and I click yes. The LO is deleted to the Recycle Bin, great? ....now it gets strange.
6) If previously deleted a new "recyclebin" folder is created in the Workspace folder when the first LO gets deleted from the Workspace folder into the Recycle Bin.
7) The deleted LO appears in the Recycle Bin, the "recyclebin folder becomes active within the Workspace folder and displays the deleted file as a sub file within the "recyclebin" folder.
8) I can only final delete the LO file from the Recycle Bin, not the "recyclebin" folder.
9) When the Recycle Bin is emptied the "recyclebin" folder also becomes empty/inactive and only then can be deleted.
10) If the "recyclebin" folder is deleted it will show up again when I log off then login again.

I think thats it.

It's still early, but to get this absolutely clear:

1. You have a 'Recycle Bin' netx to 'Workspace'
2. You have a 'recyclebin' in 'Workspace'
3. When creating a new LO, they show up in both 'Workspace' and 'Recycle Bin'?
4. When you delete an LO they end up in 'recyclebin'?

Only 1. is normal behaviour here. I wonder (I don't know how at the moment) if it has anything to do with the wrong path in the sitedetails table.

What happens for a new/other user? The Workspace and Recycle Bin folder are created when a user logs in for the first time.

If this doesn't give you a clue, would you be willing to send me (by PM) a dump of the database so I can have a look at the folder structure? All these folders are virtual. No actual folders are created on disk.

Yes you got it!
So... based on your clue, I created a new user and did NOT have a "recyclebin" problem, all worked properly.
I looked through the database and found in the folderdetails table several consecutive folder_name records called "recyclebin". I cleaned out (deleted) all records in the folderdetails table. I also removed all users from the user table and logindetails table just to be sure.
Since I'm still building/testing this allowed me to start fresh.
I did notice after creating a new user, two enties were made in the folderdetails table under folder_name and login_id. For each new user two records are created "user name" and "recyclebin" and also matching ID numbers under the login_id column Is that correct?
Otherwise all seems to have been corrected.
THANKS! Tom
