Export Zip - Index.htm doesn't play

Hi all,
(I'm very new to XOT)
I recently exported a project from XOT as a 'deployment zip' however the index.htm file did not work, displaying the error 'The project data has not loaded' when loaded in chrome, IE and Firefox.

I did manage to export the 'Archive Zip' and open the project in Xerte 2.18 which included all the content but was displayed incorrectly with the blue formatting style and buttons rather than the black I had worked on the project with.

Any and all help appreciated

Hi Ed,

It sounds like you are double clicking the zip file and then double clicking the index file inside. Is that right?

If so then you need to extract the contents of the zip to a folder before running index otherwise it cannot load the files from within the zip...

Hi was wondering if there was any more help available on this?

I have attached the screenshots of how it looks on my XOT and how it looks when exported using the flash engine (the index.htm using html5 doesn't work)

I assume you are trying to open the index.htm file by double-clicking the file stored on your local file system. In general, that doesn't work because of security measures by browsers. As far as I know, only IE will open the file correctly after a warning.

What browser are you using? Or alterniatively, could you place the files on a webserver and try again?

I've tried opening on IE, chrome and firefox and they're all the same. It has the content but loads very slowly and is formatted incorrectly

I wouldn't know how to place on a webserver!
