Upgrading to v2.0 and user files was created by Kalle
I am upgrading to xot v2.0. I want to retain the existing data but upgrading to a newer version.

What I have done is
  1. Imported the database and the setup files from previous install
  2. Copy the new v2.0 php files into a clean webroot
  3. Run upgrade.php from my browser
  4. Copy over the USER-FILES folder

The problem is that the users log in and they can't see their data. The users are the same, the USER_FILES are the same so every user should be able to see exactly the same as in the previous install. That's my hypothesis anyway. Would anyone know where I have gone wrong?

Thanks

Hi,

How do your users authenticate?

LDAP. I have checked that the authentication works because I stepped through the code and it authenticated against the ldap server successfully.

OK, and you have a backup of your existing database and whole root directory in case of mishap?

Yes. I've done the upgrade on a dev box and that is where the users can't see their data.

OK i'm assuming that you know what you are doing and that your dev box database.php file (the one that you copied from production) is pointing to the correct database (i.e the one on the dev server and not still at the production one)... if so then make sure to change the hostname and login details in dev->database.php

Can you login to /management.php on the dev server with your Admin password?
