Hi,

When creating new project from the standard templates and then clicking to edit them I don't see any edit features, just blank panels (attached xerte_new-project.png). When editing existing projects prior to the last upgrade the panels on the edit screen have features (attached xerte_existing-project.png).

We upgraded our test environment to the latest version in September 2019 - So I think this is Xerte X but will confirm.

Hi
a couple of questions:
1. do you have access to the server files? If so if you look in USER-FILES at one of the empty new projects what do you see in that folder?
2. What are you using for authentication is it LDAP? If so do the projects that work and the projects that don't have different usernames in terms of lowercase and/or uppercase letters? If so login with the same case sensitivity as the projects that work - can you then edit the project?

Hi Ron,
Thanks for getting back to me. We've had a look at the USER-FILES directory and can see folders for projects that were created prior to upgrading but no folders for the new projects that I've created.
Our Linux engineer has said that it seems like an incorrect config setting or incorrect path. We do use LDAP, but they didn't mention that there was variation in the username case.

ok so a few possibilities:
It could be a permissions issue on the USER-FILES folder. The web user (usually Apache) needs write access to that folder.
if the location of the install has changed it could be that the directory paths in the sitedetails table haven't been changed accordingly.
Basically when you create a new project a folder for that project should be created in the USER-FILES folder and if that isn't happening for new projects then the install hasn't been upgraded correctly.
Also check that they ran the upgrade script following the upgrade.
