Dear Xerters
It’s become very difficult to replace an image. You upload a new one but the old image somehow seems to get ‘stuck’ in the memory of the editor even when it’s been deleted from the server. I’m playing around with this trying to find out exactly what’s triggering it as it’s quite inconsistent (thought I was going mad at first), but just wondered if anyone else has been experiencing anything similar or has suggestions? I've been using Xerte for ages but this is very recent.

Hi
what browser are you using?
Even if this happens normally a refresh (F5) or force refresh (Ctrl + F5) will clear the browser cache enough to display the newer image. The other option is to clear offline files which is usually needed after an upgrade but not just to see a newer version of an image. The only other cause I can think of is server/proxy caching in which case you'll need to speak to your IT team.
