Array virus check

Afternoon. I'm trying to upload sound files to use with an activity, but I am consistently getting the error 'Array virus check failed'. I can't find a previous forum post about this issue. Any help to work around this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It really depends on your Xerte installation. I suspect there is something off with the settings in the management.php page regarding visurscanning.

You can enable virus checking for imported files. This is disabled by default. I suspect something is wrong with those settings:

We're encountering a similar issue at Cardiff University. We're trying to update a Word document uploaded to a project a few days ago but receiving the same error message. Additionally, I tested in a new project and found that I cannot upload a Word document to our Xerte setup at all.

Is the antivirus enabled in your Xerte installation?

As far as I can tell uploading a Word document (in Media and Quota) works fine in the default configuration (antivirus switched off).

Yes, the antivirus setting is off. It was a weird one. The issue one occurred when I uploaded a word document that's been exported from web SharePoint location. Once I re-exported the same file with my local Word application, the file uploaded fine.
