I have not used Bootstrap much. A colleague is developing a Bootstrap and the intention is to have a left menu on the bootstrap. My colleague has I think got confused when building the Xerte.
The Bootstrap as it is has links to the separate pages at the top of the screen.
My colleague wants a left hand menu.
I have investigated the Xerte in edit mode and my colleague has used pages.
I think my colleague should have had one page and then the rest should be Sections, so that the left menu appears. Because it is one site but with separate sections and that would then give my colleague the display that is required.
Am I correct?
Look forward to hearing from any of you.
Best regards
Anne
Hi Anne
short answer is yes - pages appear in the navbar and sections appear in the left menu. There are optional properties to control whether the navbar appears above or below the header and I would normally recommend changing to below the header.

I like the bootstrap theme with the page and section menu.
I wish to have the page menu bar under the header like here: url: xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=137
But if I do that, then the header part above the menu bar is not visible
(neither it is here: url: xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=137
It is as if the browsers Edge, Chrome Opera Firefox "jump" to the position of the menu bar.
