I have XOT running on a server.
I also have an LMS, which I embed some XOT content onto.
When running the xAPI XOT links on their own, the information is tracked just fine on the LRS. (Using SCORM cloud)
When using the embedded content, the information is not tracked at all.

Is there a way to have this information tracked? Thanks in advance.

Alan,

There are two ways you can achieve this:

1. Embed the Xot xapi link (wich only allows for kind of anonymoous tracking with a group name.
2. The intended way, is to launch the Xerte LO using LTI from the LMS. You need to install and setup Tsugi as part of the Xerte installation. This works with version 0.50 of tsugi, and should work with later vesion as well. See xot.xerte.org.uk/play.php?template_id=88#page1

Tom,

I managed to install Tsugi and have followed the supplied guide.
I have now embedded the launch url into my LMS, but I receive the error (see 'tsugifail' image).
Is this the incorrect way to 'Launch the Xerte LO from the LMS' ?

Thank you

Apparently you have embedded the Xerte object in the LMS, but not as an LTI tool. You just call the Xerte LTI link. That does not work. You need to find out how to launch an LTI tool.

Most LMS's require you to configure the tool first (which requires setting up the launch_url, the key and the secret), and than subsequently use it somewhere in your course.

I've followed the instructions to install and setup Tsugi.

Do you have a specific LTI tool that you would recommend?
And instructions on how to integrate it with my LMS?

Apologies, I sometimes do not realize that others do not know the terms used.

The LTI tool in this case will be the Xerte LO.

What you need to find out, is how you call an LTI tool in your LMS. Which LMS are you using? Perhaps, I or someone els on the board can point you in the right direction.
