Increase maximum file size? was created by helenmd
I'm testing XOT 3.5 on our development server at the moment, and whenever I try to upload a video, I get a message saying "Upload Error. Data exceeds the maximum allowed size".

I'm sure I've asked this question before but I can't find the answer. Where in Xerte is this parameter set?

Many thanks in advance

Helen

It's not a xerte setting, it's a php server setting.

If I remember correctly you have an install maintined by an ICT department. Correct? If so, ask them to increase the upload limit.

Replying to this because I just ran into this recently myself, and in case anyone has the same problem...the relevant setting is in php.ini, and it's called upload_max_filesize. By default it's set to two megabytes (2M), which is a bit low for media files these days.

(Your php.ini location may vary. For me it's in /etc.)

Hi
just to add you may also need to increase post_max_size too which generally needs to be larger than upload_max_filesize see php.net/manual/en/ini.core.php#ini.post-max-size
