Installed xerte but can't make LO was created by marmat

Hi, I finally managed to install xerte on my mac by using localhost:8080/xerte in my browser (the top option within xampp in the 'network' tab). It seems to be installed and I've 'created' files(1) but when I click on 'edit', I can't actually do anything, I just get this screen (2). Should I not have used localhost:8080/xerte?
I'm not sure what the problem is... if anyone could please help? Thank you.
