Hi
I am creating a new install of XOT 3.9 on a free hosting website.
During the setup, everything has gone smoothly until i reach the page for Admin Password Setup Page.
I enter an admin username and password and submit it and I get the following:

Error 403 – Forbidden.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE THIS PAGE
This is the 403 error page of the web hosting service provider _____________.com.
The 403 error page indicates that access to the requested web page is strictly forbidden.
This might happen due to one/few of the following reasons:
– the access to the requested web page was disabled by ____________.com;
– the requested web page was removed due to a Terms of Service violation;
– there is a broken link at the requested website or the URL was mistyped.

I have tried various combinations of usernames and then multiple types of passwords.
I can't get past it.

I have set the four folders to read/write 777.
I don't have access to php.ini so can make no changes to it.

Would you have any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks
Pat

Hi Tom
Thanks for your quick response.

I will admit that I didn't look for the error logs that you mentioned.
I just found another free hosting site.
Installed on this site and it worked perfectly.

It must have had something to do with the hosting site setup.

Thanks again
Pat
