Hello

We are in the situation where we need to migrate the htdocs /USER-Files folder ( data) to a new Windows Server , are they any instructions on how to do this ( assuming it can be done ) The data is currently on a Windows server with and old version of apache / PHP & MySQL and the upgrade process is proving difficult due to the initial installation method , so our thinking is to set up a new server with the latest components and migrate the data over. Any advice would be gratefully received
thanks
Barry

Migarting data of a standard install has 3 major steps:
  1. Backup and restore the database
  2. Copy the USER-FILES folder to the new install
  3. Change the folowing columns in the sitedetails table of the new database
    • site_url: needs to be the new url with a slash at the end
    • root_file_path :needs to be the new path on the file server including a slash at the end
    • import_path Needs to be the new import path, normally <root_file_path>/import/

And after the migration it is always a good idea to run https://<xerte url>/upgrade.php
