xerte 2.1 new install - management.php

Hi,
I have just installed xerte 2.1 and everything seemed to work out OK until I tried to access the management.php page. It is allowing me log in but I have no access to any of the features just some text saying "the feature is for administrators only". See screen shot below.
Anybody any idea where I have gone wrong?

Just to add to the above. It looks like the database wasn't actually created, at least I can't see it on the server.


Should i scrap this and do another install or is there an easier way? I still have xerte 2.0 running on the same server. Could I copy and rename that database?
