I'm using Linux Fedora 33 and I have installed lampp. You say I must put Xerte code in this folder, but, excuse me for this silly question. When you say xerte code, what does this mean? I must put all files in xertetoolkits_3.9 folder?

It means you copy the xerte_3.9 zipfile in /var/www/xerte directory and extract it there.
your directory tree will look like:
/var/www/xerte/[all files and dirs from the zipfile]
or when you are in a terminal window, in the directory where you have your xerte_39.zip just issue the command:
sudo unzip xerte_39.zip /var/www/xerte/
(the directory /var/www/xerte must exist!. Also make sure the xerte dir is recursively owned by httpd)
